Grand Island Catholic School

Grand Island Central Catholic
A Proud Tradition

Central Catholic has been proud to serve the Grand Island area for more than 55 years. We began as a four-year high school for grades nine through 12, later adding grades seven and eight to form a junior-senior high school. Sixth grade became possible in 1997 following the completion of a $1 million building expansion. Today, Central Catholic is comprised of a middle school for grades 6-8 and a high school for grades 9-12.

Accreditation

Central Catholic is fully accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education and North Central Association Higher Learning Commission. All members of the administrative and teaching staff are certified by the state of Nebraska.

Educational Focus

With a focus primarily on college preparation, our institution seeks to meet the needs of all students through a diversified curriculum.

As one of the most excellent of the Grand Island middle schools, we place emphasis on learning basic skills and exposing students to a wide variety of learning opportunities in a highly structured environment. Additionally, we offer a broad range of courses at one of the most competitive of the Grand Island high schools to meet the unique, individual needs of our students with respect to college prep, religion, and extracurricular opportunities. Let this Grand Island private school be your top choice, as it is certainly one of the best college prep schools in Nebraska.

Religious Studies

Both middle and high school students participate in religious instruction, an integral part of our curriculum. As a Grand Island Catholic school, Central Catholic incorporates Christian principles based upon Catholic tradition to promote moral and spiritual development into every phase of daily school life.
